Favorite Online Newspapers:
1. The Tower Pulse- At first glance, I saw that the design was very eye catching in the aspect that everything was clean and easy to identify. New visitors will not be confused. As for the content, they are very quick to update news stories regarding trends and relevant topics. Another thing I like about The Tower Pulse is that the archives can be easily accessed. www.thetowerpulse.net/
2.The Boiling Point-This online newspaper is very similar to ours with the white background but the main difference is that their online postings are very consistent. almost everyday, there is a post. and there are even posts on the weekends about the Oscars. what i think TPP should imitate is that viewers are able to read the online version of the printed newspaper. I also think this online newspaper is very well organized with diverse topics http://www.shalhevetboilingpoint.com/category/arts/
3.Tiger Times-Similar to The Boiling Point, it uses word-press style but the main significance is that it looks more futuristic. The format and fonts makes the website seem more sophisticated as a whole. and again, the articles their are very recent and consistent. I like the poll question. It is very simple yet it is revelvant to a lot of students because many people buy girlscout cookies.
Favorite Articles:
1. "No Air" is an ideal news story that fits in an online newspaper. When something newsworthy happens, people are drawn to find out. It helps to draw viewers to the website where there is a chance of reoccuring visitors. Also, the hook is very good. http://www.tigertimesonline.com/top-stories/2014/01/30/no-air/
2. A Q&A is something we don't have which is why I like "Q&A with Chris Radomski". It is more personal than a features article and it is straight to the point. http://www.tigertimesonline.com/sports/2014/02/28/qa-with-chris-radomski/
